Why metered solar is the right model for market clusters
Market clusters — Trade Fair style — share three traits that make solar unusually bankable: dense daytime load, many small payers, and a landlord who wants reliable power. Metered billing converts that into predictable revenue.
Unlike fixed monthly levies, metered customers only pay for what they consume. That keeps collections fair, reduces disputes, and lets the operator disconnect defaulters automatically at the meter level.
For investors, the model produces a clean monthly waterfall: meter collections into escrow, O&M reserve topped up, investor principal + interest paid, operator keeps the remainder. Transparent by design.
